World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) is a non-profit and non-government organization which has in official relation with the World Health Organization (WHO) representing medical education, and the education and training of medical doctors worldwide.

The purpose of the WFME is to enhance the quality of medical education worldwide, therefore the concern of WFME is that the quality of medical education and training provided should be to the highest standard. The WFME Recognition Programme evaluates agencies against internationally-accepted criteria for accreditation.

Recognition Status is the quality measure which confers the understanding that the quality of medical education in accredited schools is to an appropriate and rigorous standard. IAAHEH was reviewed by WFME in 2018 and received a Certificate of Recognition for ten years from 2018.
