Asia Quality Forum For Medical And Health Profession Education Bali Meeting 2022
Jakarta, 26 October 2022 – Driven by the need to meet the WHO Target in 2030 in relation to the Global Strategy for Human Resources for Health, as well as the need to strengthen the accreditation system in the Asian region, the LAM-PTKes Association collaborated with SEARAME to hold the Bali Meeting 2022 activity which will be held on 8-9 December 2022 at The Stones Kuta hotel, Bali. This activity was also held through two platforms, namely online via zoom and offline.
With the theme "Asia Quality Forum for Medical and Health Profession Education", the LAM-PTKes Association invited several international speakers who have been involved in the world of education, including;

- Bob Woollard – Chair International Social
- Janet Grant – University College London
- Helen Featherstone – GMCSI UK
- Ronny Heintze - AQAS, Germany
- Manoj Jhalani - Director, Department of UHC/Health Systems
- Gaya Gamwehage - Director, Office of The Director-General, WHO Geneva
- Tetty DS Ariyanto - National Professional Certification Board (BNSP)
Besides that, speakers from around Asia such as Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand will share experiences about the importance of quality education in the health sector in producing qualified health workers. Likewise, speakers representing health sciences, namely medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, midwifery, public health, and nutrition have also been involved in sharing information related to quality assurance efforts in their respective fields of science.
The main objective of holding the 2022 Bali Meeting is to disseminate WHO 2030 targets related to the global health human resources strategy, facilitate the preparation of Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) for several health professions and identify strategies to strengthen the accreditation system in the Asian region to achieve the WHO 2030 targets and discuss about international recognition of the accreditation system.
Apart from that, we also want to introduce Indonesian culture and beauty, especially Balinese culture on the international stage, by holding a cultural night.
We hope that the 2022 Bali Meeting can improve the quality of medical and health education in Indonesia by realizing an international level accreditation process, through the output in the form of a cross-border accreditation platform in Asia and beyond, which in the end can expand and strengthen Indonesia's international relations with various countries. through education.
